  1. Use 500 gm watercress chopped
  2. Provide 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  1. Wash the leaves of the saag and drain it very well (don't add the stems).
  2. Add some salt, and turmeric and smash it very well.
  3. Add the kalaunji, chopped green chillies, sugar, besan, rice flour, baking soda and again smash it very well.
  4. If you see that more besan is required for the binding of the fritters then you may add more.
  5. Take the mixture and give it a round shape or any other shape if you wish.
  6. Heat some oil in a wok and let it heat.
  7. Add the fritters and reduce the flame to medium so that the fritters get cooked from inside.
  8. Fry both the faces till golden brown and then remove it in a kitchen towel to drain the excess oil.
  9. Serve hot as a starter or as an evening snack by garnishing it with some green chillies.
